Golden retrievers originated as gun dogs for waterfowl hunting, and have since found there way into the position as one of the most popular dog breeds in the country. Our golden retrievers are bred for companionship and temperament. We truly believe golden retrievers to be incredible family dogs, with the perfect mix of friendliness, loyalty, passion, intelligence, beauty, confidence and a fun loving personality.
Golden retrievers can vary widely in color and size. At South Hill Kennel we offer a good mix of coat color variation, from a lighter cream golden to darker red golden. Our females average 60 pounds and 23 inches tall. Our male is about 80 pounds and approximately 28 inches tall.
